Arena Hybrid Property Fund

Fund Overview

Established in 2003, the Arena Hybrid Property Fund has invested in quality Australian property and global listed and unlisted property securities. Property securities are interests in managed investment schemes that invest predominately in property or property related investments.

This fund is currently making income distributions on a quarterly basis.

This investment is an open ended fund. The Fund is not able to offer a withdrawal facility at this point in time.

Portfolio Overview

The Fund is currently weighted 57.2% towards unlisted property securities and 42.8% towards listed securities. The Fund holds investments in property funds such as ING Wholesale Global Property Securities Fund, Commercial Office Fund, BT Wholesale Property Securities Fund and Childcare Property Fund.

Strategy of the Fund

To provide diversification and hence lower volatility through investing in a portfolio of listed and unlisted property sourced from a variety of regions and markets.

Arena is currently exploring options to restore liquidity in this fund. In particular, Arena monitors investments in the unlisted funds in relation to distributions and liquidity options including a restructure or wind up.
