Fund Overview
The Chevron Renaissance Property Trust (Trust) was established in 2005 and owns the Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre located in the tourism heart of Surfers Paradise in Queensland.
As this investment is a fixed–term Trust, a withdrawal facility is currently unavailable and the Trust is not making distributions to investors.
Portfolio Overview
The Trust holds a single shopping centre asset. The Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre is anchored by a Coles supermarket with rising annual turnover figures. The property also comprises specialty shops, ATMs, office suites and car park.
Strategy of the Fund
The reduction of the fund’s gearing level remains a key priority. All free cash currently generated by the asset is being used to service debt facilities and this position will remain in place until the Trust’s expiry in 2012. Should a sale of this property take place upon wind up, proceeds of the sale will be distributed to Trust unit holders.
Focus is also being directed towards leasing vacant office space and renegotiating lease agreements that are due to expire in the next two years.
